(/P) -- Joe Crosson, copilot with Carl Ben Eielson on Sir Hubert Wilkins' first expedition to the south pole, took off from here today to join in searching along to Siberian coast for his former flying comrade. Crosson left for Ruby, half-way point to Nome where he was to join Pilots H. AV. Barnhill and Ed Young, who took off several days ago to join the search, but were held at Ruby after Young's landing gear was damaged. Barnhill was to bring Young's plane back here for repairs while Young and Crosson continued to Nome today.
