Summary:Helps Eskimos To Keep Teeth. HELPS ESKIMOS TO KEEP TEETH ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 29. (/P) —Findings of a "flying dentist" may help to keep the Eskimo from losing all'his teeth. Dr. Weston Price, consultant of the department of health at Washington. D. C, has just completed a series of airplane trips covering thousands of miles of isolated territory, examining tens of thousands of molars in the mouths of suffering Eskimos and Indians for Uncle Sam. The government wants to learn why the Alaskan native loses his teeth as soon as he is touched by the influence of civilization, Dr. Price said. The federal government sends a coastguard cutter north with dentists to repair the teeth of Alaskans every year as soon as the ice barriers of the land of the midnight sun break. But the plane reached territory the ship could not cover. Price's aerial survey was made to ascertain how to stop the native's trouble before it becomes serious. "I am satisfied," he said in explaining his findings, "that the cause lies in the diet."
