(/P)— The steep slopes of Anichak volcano today held secret the whereabouts of members of the Father Bernard J. Hubbard expedition seeking to journey afoot from Kuljulik bay to the crater. The volcano was sending forth considerable steam and light ash, which was falling here. The progress being made by the "glacier priest" and his companions was unknown. Somewhere on the tortuous slopes of the mountain the party is believed nearing the crater of the world's largest active volcano.
