Eskimo's Dogs Win Second Derby Dash NOME, Alaska.—-(U.P.)—Barring mishaps, Albert Johnson, White Mountain Eskimo, was expected to win the Nome dog derby today after finishing first in the heats run Thursday and Friday. Johnson's sturdy dogs pulled a sled from Nome to Cape Nome and return—a little more than 26 miles —in two hours, four minutes and 10 seconds, yesterday. Their first day's time was one hour and 56 minutes. The dog derby was the outstanding feature of the Nome fair, held this year for the first time since 1931.
