Description
Summary:Moyle And Allen Cross To Alaska. MOYLE AND ALLEN CROSS TO ALASKA NOME, Alaska, Sept. 21. (/P)—Don Moyle and C. A. Allen, California aviators who were unsuccessful in an attempt to make a nonstop flight from Japan to the United States, landed here at 6 p. m. (9 p. m., P. S. T.) last night from the coast of Siberia. The flyers left Samushiro beach, Japan, September 7, on a proposed nonstop flight to Seattle. After they had traveled 110 miles nothing was heard of the men until Moyle sent a wireless message to his fiancee, Miss Frances Bresson of Riverside, Cal., nine days later that they had landed on an island on the Siberian coast. They reported that storms forced them off their course. The men reported numerous snowstorms over the freezing Bering sea. They will remain here today.
