FAIRBANKS, Alaska. — — Pilot Harold Gillam and Mechanic George Saunders, missing for a day on a flight to Toint Barrow, radioed today thev were down safe at Killik river, north of the Endicott mountains. Gillam, lost for the second time, in two months on the Fairbanks-Point Barrow route, reported at 10:15 a. m. (12:15 p. m. P. S. T.) "Everything O. K., short of gas." PLANES Grounded The message came while unfavorable weather prevented other flyers from taking off to search. Gillam and Saunders left here at 8 a. m. (10 a. m. P. S. T.l Monday for Point Barrow with radio and food supplies for the crew of the radio station set up at the northern most American point to aid Sir Hubert Wilkins search for the six Russian trans-Polar flyers who have been missing since August 13.
