Hotes, Portland, Ore., and J. L. Frank, Prince Rupert, B. C„ escaped ashore today when then- plane sprang a pontoon leak and sank In Zimovia strait two miles from here. They were enroute from Juneau to Ketchikan. Rinehart was able to beach the craft but it went down with the incoming tide and a stiff wind.
