Description
Summary:Alaska Pilot Finds Wreckage Of Plane. Alaska Pilot Finds Wreckage of Plane KETCHIKAN, Alaska (JP) — Wreckage of the missing honeymoon plane of Pilot Albert Almoslino and his bride was found Sunday on the shore of Princess Bay by Pilot Sheldon Simmons, of Juneau. Simmons reported Almoslino and his wife were not in the plane. Almoslino and his bride, the former Joan McDonald of Minneapolis and Spokane, left Seattle a week ago last Saturday for Alaska in a chartered plane. They were last seen at Butedale, B. C, where they refueled their ship and took off for Ketchikan. Simmons' flight along the tortuous bays and inlets was finally rewarded with the discovery of the wrecked plane. They made a hazardous descent on Princess Bay and explored the ship. The coast guard cutter Cyane, which served as a tender for Simmons, will search adjacent waters for the Almoslinos and will return the wreckage of the plane here.
