Summary:Navy Given Use Of Alaskan Area. NAVY GIVEN USE OF ALASKAN AREA JUNEAU, Alaska, Dec. 9. (/P )—An area of approximately 15 square miles, located three and a half miles south of Kodiak on Kodiak island, has been withdrawn from the public domain for use by the navy, it was learned here today. The area includes part of Women's bay, which is an arm of Chiniak bay, at the mouth of the Buskin river. An executive order was signed at Washington, D. C, on November 20, authorizing the withdrawal, sources here said.
