Summary: | Sergt. Morgan Receive His Medal On March 7th. SERGT. MORGAN RECEIVE HIS MEDAL ON MARCH 7TH Seattle, Feb. 28. — (A>) — Master Sergt. Stanley A. Morgan, who flashed the word of the Will Rogers-Wiley Post tragedy to the world, will receive the soldier's medal, highest peace-time award which can be conferred upon an enlisted man for distinguished service, here March 7. Sergeant Morgan will receive the medal for assistance he rendered at; Barrow, Alaska during the influenza epidemic last May. Last August he was promoted by Secretary Dern from technical sergeant to his present rank "in recognition of organizing and directing the recovery of Rogers' and Post's bodies." Morgan is married and has two children. At present he is assigned to the U. S. signal corps machine shops here where he is improving certain devices he hopes will make living more comfortable in the arctic.
