Description
Summary:Auxiliary Head Enthused Alaska Tour: Believes Territory Will Figure Largely National Affairs. AUXILIARY HEAD ENTHUSED ALASKA TOUR BELIEVES TERRITORY WILL FIGURE LARGELY NATIONAL AFFAIRS Mrs. O. W. Hahn, national president of the American Legion Auxiliary, roundtrjp, passenger on the SS Yukon, spent Friday at Anchorage and returning in the evening was entertained by the local organization. With headquarters at Lincoln, Neb., Mrs, Hahn is making tour of the country, visiting local posts, reviewing work done and projects in view. The national president has found much to interest her on her northern visit, and her- study of Auxiliary activities in Alaska will add much to her fund of information to be transmitted in reports at the next national convention. Sees Cooperation She spoke earnestly of the wholehearted cooperation the national organization always receives from the Alaska department in all projects and mentioned in particular poppy sale returns. There are 427.000 members of the Auxiliary at this time, said Mrs. Hahn, with signs pointing to half-million enrollment by the end of the year. Enraptured with Alaska scenery and enter-arise Mrs. Hahn is returning to the states lilled with enthusiasm over the part that Alaska is destined to play in national affairs.
