Summary:Seattle Fishermen Drown: Swept Overboard By Heavy Seas On Alaska Coast. SEATTLE FISHERMEN DROWN Swept Overboard by Heavy Seas on Alaska Coast. JUNEAU, Alaska, Nov. 6.—The fishing schooner Yakutat encounter violent storm last Wednesday off Yakutat. A mighty wave swept the dories loose. Captain Ole Bjerke, Martin Sommerset and Alfred Storholm sought to fasten them and were carried overboard. The captain seized a buoy key and kept afloat until picked up. The other two men were apparently injured when thrown into the water, for they made no effort to seize dories washed near them. The lost fishermen were residents of Seattle.
