Bentley, Episcopal archdeacon of the Yukon, with headquarters at Nenana, accepted an invitation to deliver the baccalaureate sermon for the graduating class at Fairbanks high school he intended to board a freight train. He missed the train, however, so he set out on foot and made the 60-mile hike in two days. He arrived in plenty of time to fill his engagement.
