Ketchikan Asks Tariff Suspension KETCHIKAN, Alaska, Nov. 9 (AP)—With supplies of eggs and greenstuffs virtually exhausted and with meat enough to last until December 1, the Ketchikan chamber of commerce today asked a temporary suspension of tariffs on Canadian products imported to Alaska during the maritime strike. Territorial Delegate Anthony Dimond, democrat, Alaska, advised from Washington, D. C, that he had referred the proposal to the attorney general, secretary of the treasury and the budget director before final presentation to President Roosevelt, who has authority to suspend tariffs.
