Summary:Arctic Camps Of The CCC Bring New Deal To Eskimo. Arctic Camps of the CCC Bring New Deal to Eskimo JUNEAU. Alaska, Sept. 24 (/P)— The New Deal has reached the Eskimo—and now he's in the CCC. The first all-native Civilian Conservation Corps was established by Charles Burdick, director of Alaska CCC, who returned here yesterday after a seven-weeks' tour over much of the western part of the territory. He established arctic camps, manned by Eskimos, at Kotzebue, Buckland, Kivalina, Point Hope and Selawik. Ultimately 150 Eskimos will be enrolled.
