POINT BARROW, Alaska, June 1. -- The final outfitting of the Detroit News-Wilkins plane for Captain Hubert Wilkins' second exploratory flight into the arctic has been completed. Yesterday Captain Wilkins, Alger Graham and Howard Mason took a one hour trial flight to test the compasses and radio. The weather is warm and cloudless and Wilkins hopes to start within a few days in his quest for undiscovered land in the arctic blind spot.
