Stranded Aviator Reaches Barrow BARROW, Alaska, Feb. 5.—(AP) —Pilot Harold Gillam, stranded in desolate country south of Barrow since Monday when he was forced down by fuel shortage, on a flight from Fairbanks, arrived here at noon today after a dog team brought him a gasoline supply. The rescue party left Barrow Monday night. Gillam and his mechanic, George Saunders, had kept in touch with Barrow by radio but were unable to tell their exact position, delay- They undertook the mid-winter flight to bring supplies for Sir George Hubert Wilkins, who is searching for Russian airmen lost last August 13 on a Trans-Polar hop.
