Description
Summary:Police Hunt Alaska Plane, Lost In B. C. Police Hunt Alaska Plane, Lost in B, C. VANCOUVER, Wednesday, Sept. 9.—(Special to The Times)—British Columbia Provincial police were searching today for the green and white Lockheed-Vega plane, in which Hans Mirow, Nome, Alaska, pilot and a woman passenger took off from Seattle September 2, bound for Prince George on a flight to Fairbanks. The plane has been unreported since. Mirow and his passenger, Eileen Stangroom, believed to be a resident of Fairbanks, checked through customs at Sea Island Airport, Vancouver, at 4:30 o'clock the afternoon of September 2, and took off after announcing they would spend the night at Prince George. The plane did not arrive at Prince George. The ship was equipped with wheels, which would have made a landing on water impossible, but police believe ' Mirow might have come down in one of several little-used fields between Vancouver and Prince George.
