Summary:A communication issued by the headquarters staff today, says: "On the Lithuanian-Ruthenian front Polish and Lettish troops continue to pursue the enemy eastward. The enemy also is in retreat on the rest of the front. Wishing to save the situation north of the Dvina, the Bolsheviki declared a general attack in the sector next to General Lasockis, along the Dvina and south of Polok. Notwithstanding the enemy's superior numbers the attack was repulsed with heavy loss.
