Dan Frew, one time Palouser, questions the claim of a world's record. Mr. Frew says: "Here is a bird (a sea gull?) from Island county bragging in the P.I. of February 1 that he holds the world's record, the world, mind you, for wheat production per acre with dry farming, a measly 86.2 bushels per acre, in which he says President Holland of the State college at Pullman backs him up.
