CDA PUCK TEAM IN FINE FETTLE Play Spokane Americans In First "Home" Combat at Fernan Lake Sunday Coeur d'Alene Eskimos were in top condition today for their first "home" game of the 1936-37 hockey season at Fernan lake here tomorrow. The Eskies will meet the hard-skating Spokane Americans, the game to start at 2:30 o'clock barring a severe snowstorm or Chinook weather. The ice was cleared today of snow which fell the past two days. Co-managers Joe Whyte and Al Raska expect to use two different forward lines tomorrow, one consisting of Lloyd Nylen, center, and Howard Russell and Dick Panabaker, wings. AMERICANS ARE ON EDGE SPOKANE, Wash., Dec. 4.-(American Wire)-A veteran sextet of hockey players, the American team of Spokane, will journey to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where Sunday afternoon they meet the undefeated Eskimos. This is the second game for each of the two leaders in the Washington-Idaho Hockey league. The Eskimos Sunday will be faced by a team at top strength. Guarding the goal will be Stew Dunlop, veteran of six years' experience, or Si O'Donnell, stellar performer in his team's victory over the Maple Leafs. Pillars at defense will be Dutch Alberthal, hard skating puckster and Jimmy Slaughterer, who has returned to play after a season's absence. Henderson and Soaper are held in reserve. Five of the six forwards are veterans from last year's team. Bill Kaiser, right wing, is leading scorer in the league. Si Steel will occupy center position with Bob Peterson at left wing. The second forward line will include Don Harcey, last year's high scorer at center: Lowry Sweeney, left wing, and Harper, another Canadian recruit, at right wing.
