Summary:Illness and Injuries Thin Ranks Of Hockey Amateurs. All four teams in the Big Four lamateur hockey league will be playing short handed tonight. Sickness and injury have laid up six of the amateur players. In- steal of filling in with green reserves unable to stand the fast pace, the remaining veterans on each club will carry the brunt of battle. Lang Stove, league leaders, who meet Red and White in the opener at 7:30, will be minus Don Harcey, who was shifted to the Grocers after a disagreement with the Stove team management, and Larry Sweeney who injured a wrist last week. Red and White has yet to .replace Mike Zarowney, now playing for Gonzaga. l Silver Loaf Hit. Nick Simchuk and Jim Hungate will both be out of the Silver Loaf lineup tonight because of illness. Al Galipeau, who has been playing with Coeur d'Alene, has been permanently shifted to the Baker club. The Eskimos, who play Silver Loaf in the second game, are still waiting the arrival of the fast- skating Wiste twins from Canada. FIRST GAME. RED AND WHITE. LANG STOVE.
