YAKIMA, Feb, 5.—Soaring high and fast, W. R. Graham, Alaskan pilot, and Mrs. Edna Christofferson, Portland aviatrix, flying here from Seattle to start a flight to search the Arctic ocean for the missing fur ship Baychimo, thought Yakima was Ellensburg and passed on down the valley, discovered their mistake and turned back, landing at 12:55 p.m. The Baychimo carried a rich cargo of furs. Graham's mother, Mrs. Sarah W. Bates, a Yakima resident the last two years, was at the airport to greet him. The flyers will remain here to equip their plane with skiis, shipped here ahead of them. They expect to take off tomorrow for Oroville, Wash., then follow the 3500-mile route to Nome.
