Description
Summary:Trout Displays Are Attracting. Trout Displays Are Attracting. Big fish, and lots of them, were on display at the sporting goods stores yesterday. Perch, bass, crappie, cutthroat, mackinaw trout and rainbow trout made up the displays. George Boisseaux had a 20-pound mackinaw trout on display at Piala's which he caught at Bead lake while trolling with a spoon. The two smallmouth bass, taken from Liberty lake by Roy Andreas, and the 19 cutthroat trout hooked at Hudson bay, Pend Oreille lake, by Mr. and Mrs. J. Ambroseh, which were at John T. Little's, were one of the most colorful displays. Bill Hatch, Merton Hatch and Ray Flaherty returned from Priest lake with 19 cutthroat trout, three of which they placed in the live fish aquarium in front of Hatch's sporting goods store. In the tank are perch, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, eastern brook trout and bass, which are affording many the opportunity of becoming acquainted with the markings of these species. Roy Cage placed a limit catch of cutthroat trout which he caught at Pend Oreille lake on display at the Spokane Cycle and Toy company along with a limit catch of yellow perch from Lower Coffee Pot lake, hooked by Mrs. Pearl McPherson.
