Description
Summary:Seattle-Ketchikan Air Line To Start. Seattle-Ketchikan Air Line to Start Announcement of a direct passenger and express air service to Ketchikan, Alaska, to begin next Saturday from Boeing Field, was made yesterday by officials of the Alaskan Clipper Air Express, Inc. The decision to reopen this weekly service, in spite of inadequate patronage last year, came as an upshot of the warning given by W. W. Conner, National Aeornautics Association governor for the state of Washington, and published in Saturday's Post-Intelligencer, according to J. J. Casey, operation manager. Conner said the Puget Sound country was due to lose much business because of the failure to start a direct air service. A direct threat to Seattle's business relations with Alaska is the new inland route now operating from Montana.
