Description
Summary:30 Boy Scouts Visit Old Fort.: Lynden Troop Sees Historic Old Hudson Bay Post And B. C. Experimental Farm. 30 BOY SCOUTS VISIT OLD FORT Lynden Troop Sees Historic Old Hudson Bay Post And B. C. Experimental Farm Thirty Boy Scouts from the Lynden troop went on a trip Saturday to old Fort Langley where they visited the one building of the old Hudson Bay post that is still standing. Interesting Indian exhibits were seen in the old museum. After leaving the fort, the boys were taken to the British Columbia Experimental Farm near Essendale where they visited the large barns in which 180 head of fine milk cows are kept. The farm is run in conjunction with the British Columbia Mental Hospital. Four cars were jammed with Scouts who went on the trip. Scoutmaster Glenn R. Walker drove one of the cars while the others were driven by Paul Dolstad, C. H. Taylor and Harry Newman. The next meeting of the Lynden Scout troop will be held Monday evening at the home of Scoutmaster Walker on the Glendale pavement, one mile west of Lynden.
