Girl Canoeist Will Be Given Banquet ANACORTES, Wash., Sept. 29.-- Honoring Betty Lowman, University of Washington co-ed who paddled her canoe nearly 1000 miles to Ketchikan, Alaska, this summer, a parade and banquet will be held here tomorrow. High school boys will carry her in her canoe through the streets to the waterfront at 3:30 p.m. She will give a canoeing exhibition and a banquet will be held at night. The woman's club is the sponsor.
