Description
Summary:Track Coach Sure North Pole Moves. Track Coach Sure North Pole Moves. WASHINGTON STATE COLLEGE, April 24.—(Special.)—"What I said the other day, is still the entire story," said Karl Schlademan, Cougar track coach, yesterday, as he paced about the turf inside the cinder oval of Rogers field. "The north pole is located just about' 100 miles south of town. If anything, it has moved a little farther south." Coach Schlademan is resigned to his fate. About all he can do is keep his varsity and frosh track outfits "marking time." "The danger of pulling a tendon or muscle overworking while it is so cold is so great that we'll take it easy, keep the sweat clothes on, and then go to work the day of the meet." He is hoping warm weather will precede the visit of the Oregon track crew for its meet with the Cougars on May 4.
