Station; Long Cold Spell Feared Following the lamb-like entrance and lion-like exit of March, April, the month of showers that bring May flowers, has ironically chosen April Fool's day to record the lowest April temperature ever to be recorded in the history of the cooperative weather station here. Weather observers predict that the weather may remain cold for nearly two weeks. 30 Is Highest The highest the temperature rose during the last 24 hours, recorded by E. R. Divine, weather, observer, was 30 degrees. That the weather has not been warming up to above freezing is a boon to wheat farmers, who have been fearing that the alternate freezing and thawing weather might cause "heaving" of the soil and consequent breaking of the young roots of the winter wheat.
