Summary:Fear 340 Men Lost Off Ship. FEAR 340 MEN LOST OFF SHIP TOKYO, June 7. (AP)—A dispatch to the Rengo News agency from Hakodate, Japan, said grave fears were felt there for the safety of 300 Russian fishermen and 40 members of the crew of the Japanese fishing steamer Genzan Maru, who have been missing since abandoning the ship yesterday off Karaginsky island, east of Kamchatka. Four steamers, including the Seattle-bound liner Hikawa Maru, heard the SOS signal from the Genzan before she was abandoned. They were hastening to the scene and were due to arrive there tonight. The Genzan Maru was bound from Vladivostok for the Kamchatka fishing grounds. It struck a rock Sunday in a dense fog near Karaginsky. Later it managed to pull free from the rock but was so badly damaged it was abandoned.
