Description
Summary:Little Big Horn Valley was arena for many bitter tribal battles long before Custer met disaster there. - Assinniboines almost met annihilation there. - All their "Medicine Signs" presaged great victory, but Sioux intercepted surprise attack, loosed hundreds of warriors upon invading hosts, allowing but few to escape. - In the valley of the Little Big Horn, on almost the same field where Custer and his gallant troopers went to death and where Reno and his brave men stood off thousands of attacking Sioux for two days, in 1817, the Crows and Assinniboines fought one of the most terrific Indian battles in the history of warfare between Indian tribes in the northwest.
