Summary:State Will Auction Its Land On Tuesday. State Will Auction Its Land On Tuesday OLYMPIA, April 5. (AP) - State-owned timber, land and tide lands valued at approximately $175,000 will go "under the hammer" in 21 counties tomorrow, Land Commissioner A. C. Martin said today. The public auctions will be held in the county seats. It is the second public sale of 1937 to be held by the land department. Revenues go into the current school and other permanent funds. Counties in which the auctions will be held are: Benton, Clark, Cowlitz, Grant, Island, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Klickitat, Lewis, Mason, Okanogan, Pacific, Pend Oreille, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Stevens, Thurston, Whatcom and Yakima.
