Description
Summary:Codfish Catch Reported Light. Codfish Catch Reported Light Reporting rough weather and a catch smaller than in previous seasons, the four-masted codfishing schooner Sophie Christenson arrived at Poulsbo today from the Bering Sea. The vessel had 284,000 codfish, the smallest catch ever brought to the Sound by her master, Capt. J. E. Shields. Continued rough weather and scarcity of fish, were given as the reason. The Sophie Christenson was towed to the Sound by the tug Arthur Foss. The codfishing schooners Wawona and Azalea, also returning from the Bering Sea, were reported off Cape Flattery today. They will go to Anacortes to put their catches ashore.
