(AP)—Miller Freeman, chairman of the joint committee for protection of North Pacific Coast fisheries, said tonight he would call an early meeting of the committee to consider the state department's announcement of settlement of the Japanese fishing problem. He said he could not comment on the Japanese representations until the committee had an opportunity to discuss them. Edward W. Allen, Seattle, and W. C. Arnold, Ketchikan, Alaska, represent the cannery operators on the joint committee. The Alaska Fishermen's union is represented by Andrew Vigen, San Francisco, and Louis Mostad, Seattle.
