Summary:Southern Alaska Lashed By Storm LASHEDJBYSTORM Fate of Airplane Party and Motorship Unknown JUNEAU, Alaska, Nov. 25 (AP) The blowing fury of one of the worst storms in southern Alaska in 12 years, accompanied by earthquake shocks, a gale on the Alaskan peinsula and a gale in south- proportions, added to searchers' troubles and the mystery tonight of the long overdue tri-motored plane with 13 passengers aboard, and the motorship Kasilog, ov due at Seward with passengers. The gale has continued with diminished velocity in portions the Gulf of Alaska and off Seward for eight days, where the motor- ship Discoverer lay sheltered after losing its second mate, who was washed overboard en route. Earthl shocks were felt during the day but did no apparent damage. Wind Racks Buildings At Cordova the wind moved an apartment house two feet from its foundations, blew the top of a chuch away and crushed the front of the old city hall. After daring a crackup himself in the dense fog which hung right on the ground in the 50-mile area between Juneau and Chicagof island to determine whether an object reported by fishermen was the missing tri-motored plane, Pilot Sheldon Simmons landed back in Juneau tonight without locating it. Simmons said he made an extensive search for the plane as far west as Yakutat, scouting along the begch, over the ice-capped glaciers At Juneau two more bodies were recovered tonight from the great landslide which struck Sunday in the apartment house area. The bodies were those of Mrs. George Lee and Oscar Laito. It brought the total death list to ten.
