An average annual rainfall of some 13 feet is recorded by the weather bureau in Ketchikan. In 1926, Ketchikan enjoyed 15 sunny days without a drop of rain. This year, in the 15 days ending Sept. 10, Ketchikan had almost a perfect record. It was marred by the fact that only a trace ef rain fell one night. The record was in marked contrast with one of the rainiest summers in Ketchikan's history.
