(AP)— A temperature of 58 below, the coldest in 16 years, was recorded here today and temperatures of 64 below, the coldest on record, were registered at Fort Yukon and Tanana. In 1916, the mercury reached 60 below here, while 10 years previously, in 1906, it dropped to 65 below. The cold spell began early in the week, reaching 53 below here yester day. The weather bureau said "continued cold" for tomorrow.
