S. Yukon after shooting: four whales with harpoon bombs at Wainwright on a two months' hunting trip. The hunters went out in skin boats to bag the whales. One Eskimo got too close and his boat was caught on the whale's back, Lilly said. The native was sent flying into the waiter by a flick of the whale's tail, but he was rescued.
