Summary:Farm Tourists To See Alaska FARM TOURISTS TO SEE ALASKA-- Beginning a cruise that will take them to Skagway through the scenic waters of Southeastern Alaska, a group of 136 Midwest farm folks sailed from Seattle today on the Alaska Steamship Company's liner Victoria. The party, on a vacation trip, arrived in Seattle last night in a twelve-car special Northern Pacific train from Chicago. The tour is under sponsorship of The Prairie Farmer, a Chicago agricultural publication, and its radio station, WLS. The special train left Chicago Friday night. Floyd Keepers, advertising manager of The Prairie Farmer, is leader of the party, assisted by Howard Hauskins, city passenger agent of the Northern Pacific Railway Company, in Chicago. Mr. Keepers is accompanied by Mrs. Keepers and their daughter. During the transcontinental trip, the party attended a Fourth of July rodeo celebration at the Pioneer Days Festival, Bismarck, N. D., and motored through Rainier National Park.
