Summary:Alaska Tourist Prospects Best for Many Years Alaska Tourist Prospects Best for Many Years Although the travel season is yet four months in the future, prospects for travel to Alaska on ships sailing from Van- better than they have been for many years, according to W. H. Deacon, general agent of the Canadian Pacific Steamships, Port- Officials of the Canadian Pacific passenger department have announced that the coastwise' liners Princess Louise, Princess Charlotte and Princess Alice will carry out 16 regular Alaska sailing and two deluxe cruises during the coming summer, Mr. Deacon said. Many of the northbound travelers will be people attracted to the golden jubilee celebration at Vancouver, he declared. First of the Alaska sailings will start June 6 and will be followed by weekly sailings during June and August and twice-weekly sailings during July. The popular Princess Charlotte will make two de luxe cruises, of 10% days each, starting the first one June 24 and the second July 29, and calling at various ports off the beaten track to the Land of the Midnight Sun.
