Max Watson, union business agent,, said the settlement was "tentative." Ship to Go North The Northland Transportation company said the steamship North Sea would sail for the north at 10 A.M. Friday, and the Alaska Steamship company announced the Yukon would sail Saturday at 9 A. M. The men will return to work under the former conditions of employment, the union having withdrawn its demand for the rotation of cooks, stewards and waiters in vessels plying north to the territory, the operator said.
