Summary:Alaskan Sandlots Get Under Way With a Rush ALASKAN SANDLOTS GET UNDER WAY WITH A RUSH ANCHORAGE, Alaska, April 19. (AP) —Big- league baseball is under way in the States and baseballs are being cracked out on diamonds of the Midnight Sun league teams in this area. A big season is anticipated, with the league expected to be strengthened by a team from the Matanuska valley colonization project. Already such a team has been dubbed the "Matanuska Farmers." OCC brigades, the signal corps, salmon packers and miners are other entries. Games are also always arranged with teams from visiting naval' ships or Coast guard cutters.
