Summary:Two Ships Load For Alaska TWO SHIPS LOAD FOR ALASKA Here are the Alaska Packers' Association's 5,500-ton steamship Arctic and the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs motor vessel Boxer (right) at the Bell Street Terminal of the Port Commission, loading relief cargo for ports in Alaska, isolated by the maritime strike. The vessels are being manned and loaded by union men. They are being operated by the government-owned Alaska Railroad. The Arctic was chartered in San Francisco from the Alaska Packers' Association. The Boxer left last night with five passengers and a full cargo. The Arctic is posted to sail at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning with a full cargo. She will carry no passengers.—(A P. Photo.)
