Summary:19 VESSELS FOR ALASKA SERVICE 19 VESSELS FOR ALASKA SERVICE With ninetenn ships in service, the Alaskan Steamship Company by July 15 will have the largest fleet of carriers it ever has operated, plying from Seattle to a range of ports extending from Ketchikan to the Arctic. The steamship Baranof. third vessel added to the fleet this year, was commissioned by the company today and will sail at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Southeastern-Southwestern Alaska route. A sister liner, the Mount McKinley, cleared last Wednesday in the same route. The steamship Aurthur J. Baldwin, purchased from Transport Company, sailed this week for Nome and vith passengers sailed Kotzebue Sound and freight. The steamship Northwestern arrived in Seattle today from Southeastern Alaska ports of call with twenty-five passengers and a cargo of fresh and frozen fish. She sails again Tuesday.
