Summary:3 Ships To Take Supplies North 3 Ships To Take Supplies North Three freighters of the Alaska Steamship Company, called into service by the movement of cannery supplies to Alaska for the 1936 salmon packing season, will sail from Seattle this month. The Oduna and Nizina, new idle at West Seattle, yesterday were posted to head north March 15. The Oduna will carry a cargo of cannery supplies to Southeastern and Southwestern Alaska, while the Nixina will load for salmon plants on Kodiak Island. Both ships will go on berth March 10. The Latouche, which also was idle at West Seattle, went into commission today. She was sent to Nanaimo, B. C, for coal and will return to Seattle tomorrow to complete her cargo. The vessel is posted to sail for False Pass, Alaska, March 6.
