Summary:Alaskan Teacher Reaches Here by Plane Alaskan Teacher Reaches Here hy Plane Long distance flights by airplane are commonplace to Mrs. Frank Daugherty, formerly of Point Barrow, Alaska, who reached Spokane this morning from Walla Walla en route to the St. Lawrence islands in Bering straits about 60 miles from Siberia. The photo shows Mrs. Daugherty, who with her husband are government teachers to the Eskimos, as she alighted from a United plane for a visit with Miss Pearl Canwell, W909 Shannon. Mrs. Daugherty will join her husband and 4-year-old son at Seattle before going north on a government steamer.
