SEWARD. Alaska, Nov.22. (AP)-- Bringing with him the harvest of years of archeological, ethnological and geological work on St. Lawrence island in Bering sea among the moon worshipping tribe of Eskimos, Otto Geise of the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines returned today. Geise arrived abroad the schooner Boxer of the United States bureau of education. During his stay among the Eskimos Geise lived as a native and recieved the name Aghvook as a full-fledged member of the tribe. Gets 30,00 Specimens About 30,000 specimens for the collge museum, most of them dating back to prehistoric times, were obtained, giving the museum what is believed to be the most complete exhibit of its kind in the world. A new light of the migrations of the the prehistoric races was shed by excavations on the island. Granite axes greatly resemblng those found in remians of early American Indians were dug up. The Stone implements were of native rock. Youngsters Are Modern While the old superstitions still affect the lives ogf the older Eskimos, the younger generations is rapidly becoming modernized through the influence of schools established by the bureau of education.
