SPOKANE-MADE TRAM WILL HAUL SULPHUR OUT FROM ALASKA MINE A Spokane-made tramway, installed by Spokane experts, ill bring sulphur from an Arctic mine to the Alaskan coast in a few months. The tramway has been made by the Riblet Tramway company, N2S01 Division street, and is to be shipped to Akun, one of the Aientian islands, to the Alaska Sulphur Mining company, the stock of which is owned in Chicago. According to Byron C. Riblet, president of the Riblet Tramway company, a boat is being- chartered to carry the tramway, 500,000 feet of lumber, 12 skilled workmen from Spokane, eight workmen from the Coast, cables and machinery for the construction work, portable houses for the men and supplies sufficient for five months. Native Dutch Harbor Indians will furnish the remainder of the labor to erect the tramway.
