Summary:Frank J. Oechsner, Sr. was born on November 15, 1881 in Wurzburg, Germany and came to New York in 1903. He moved to Streator, Illinois in 1905 and came to Ellensburg, Washington in 1908. He worked on the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle for a time, returning to Ellensburg in 1910. Frank married Janna Czarnecka in Ellensburg on February 3, 1915. He worked as a carpenter and builder and was a member of the Carpenters Union, St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and an honorary member of Knights of Columbus. Frank passed away in Ellensburg on September 11, 1972 at the age of 90 years.
