Description
Summary:Abstracts and Program XXII Nordic-Baltic Congress of Cardiology : Reykjavik, Iceland, June 3-5, 2009 / Guest editors : David O. Arnar, Karl Andersen The aim of the study was to evaluate association between dispersion of JT interval (JTd), QT interval (QTd), JTapex interval (JTdapex), QTapex interval(QTdapex) with localization of coronary artery (CA) stenosis (stn) in 293 patients with stable angina pectoris. Patients and methods: JT and QT interval variables were measured automatically from 12-lead resting ECGs employing computer software. CA stn of lumen ≥50% was diagnozed in 62% (181) of patients. According coronary angiography proximal CA stn was defined as stn in one or more segments: S1,S2, S5, S6, S7, S11. Distal CA stn - in one or more segments: S3, S4, S9, S10, S12, S13, S14, S15. The patients were divided into groups: I-without significant stn, II-stn only in distal segments, III-stn only in proximal segments, IV-stn in both proximal and distal segments. Results: Mean values of parameters were compared between the groups by unpaired t-test and U-test (see table, where, mean value ± standard error, pij - p value of t-test between i and j groups, NS-insignificant difference). Lesions in distal segments were more common in older patients Patients with stenosis in proximal segments had significantly higher JTd, QTdapex and JTdapex. None of ECG parameters were informative for CA stenosis in distal segments (p>0.05). Conclusion: According to our results, dispersion of ventricular repolarization is increased in patients with proximal coronary artery stenosis Aplinkotyros katedra Kauno medicinos universiteto Kardiologijos institutas Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas
